Emmy Award-winning anchor Steve Adubato interviewed NJ Governor Chris Christie LIVE on March 1 in "prime-time" at 8:00 pm on PBS stations THIRTEEN and NJTV. For the first time, Christie: On the Line was simulcast on WOR 710, the region's #1 talk radio station, as well as on NPR affiliate WBGO 88.3 FM. Also online at NJ.com and on NJTVonline.org.
Christie: On the Line also aired on a variety of additional outlets including WHYY ( Philadelphia's PBS affiliate), WLIW (Long Island's PBS affiliate), WLIW WORLD, FiOS1.
In total, this special live, call-in reached an estimated television audience of 12 million households in 6 states, and a radio audience of over 2 million households throughout New Jersey.
The March 1 simulcast was the third edition of Christie: On the Line, since he took office in January 2010. Once again, this dynamic, interactive program featured Governor Chris Christie responding to viewer questions on a range of issues including education, health care, the economy and business in New Jersey. The On the Line series is unique as it is the only live television call-in program in which Governor Christie participates.
