If you're considered a "baby boomer," chances
are your parents have reached the time of life they call
"the golden years." But for many, those years
are tarnished by health problems that can effect mobility
and independence. On this installment of “Families
in Focus,” we look at what adult children are doing
to care for their aging parents.
Joining host Steve Adubato in the discussion are Dr. Chuck
Davis, director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at Newark
Beth Israel Medical Center; Diane Mayo, director of the Adult
Day Care Center at Newark Beth Israel; senior citizen Lena
Bacote and her daughter Geneva Morrison and Peter and Vivian
Drozod, a brother and sister who made the painful decision
to place their mother in an assisted living facility. |
