| On
this half-hour program, we look at what it takes to make
a small professional business work. Small group practices
face a myriad of unique financial challenges. Small businesses
stand at the heart of our state and national economies,
creating more new jobs each year than the entire corporate
sector. Indeed, many Americans dream of growing a successful
small business that will be a lasting tribute to their energy,
skills, and personal ambition. At the same time, however,
many small business owners are often unaware of the pitfalls
that might confront them, believing that their commitment
and work ethic will be enough to grow their enterprise.
They may also be uninformed about the resources available
to them - resources that could make a crucial difference
in the success or failure of their business. According to
a recent study by Dunn & Bradstreet, “90% of all
small business failures can be traced to poor management
and planning resulting from a lack of knowledge.”
This special discusses how small businesses optimize their
opportunities to grow and expand and what resources they
need to grow and how to access them.
